How to delete all of your data in the AlertVIP app

How to Delete Your Data

AlertVIP stores all data locally on your device. No data is stored on any server. You have full control over your data at all times.


Option 1: Delete All Data from Within the App

1. Open AlertVIP
2. Go to Settings
3. Tap "Delete All Data"
4. Confirm when prompted

This permanently removes all VIP contacts, alert history, and saved preferences from your device.


Option 2: Clear App Data from Android Settings

1. Open your device Settings
2. Go to Apps (or Apps & notifications)
3. Find and tap AlertVIP
4. Tap Storage & cache
5. Tap Clear storage (or Clear data)


Option 3: Uninstall the App

Uninstalling AlertVIP permanently deletes all data associated with the app from your device. No data remains after uninstallation.


What Gets Deleted

- All VIP contacts and their settings
- All alert history records
- All app preferences (quiet hours, alert sounds, etc.)

Note: If you previously used the Backup & Export feature, those files were saved to a location you chose (such as Downloads or Google Drive) and are not managed by the app. You can delete those files manually from wherever you saved them.
